Whole school

  • Plant/flowers now planted around the school.
  • Welcome display put at the entrance of the school.
  • Painting of the outside to be done by January.
  • Uniform for staff, ICT suite, library and ID card for staff to be in place by January 2009.
  • New staff structure and organogram done.

New Changes

  • Parents are not allowed into classes during learning time.
  • Visitor must report to the school secretary.
  • Children are dropped off at the gate.

Administrative Department

  • Now set up
  • School secretary now employed
  • Administrative system now in place
  • To create database for children on computer
  • All school information should be computerized
  • To develop a staff handbook, parent handbook, home school agreement etc.
  • To have job description and contract for all staff.

Curriculum

  • Core subjects reviewed to continue with the Literacy/Numeracy and science schemes
  • ICT scheme of work to be developed for the new year (Teachright)
  • All outside subject teachers must submit their schemes of work to the headteacher.
  • Nursery curriculum reviewed and EYFS to be put in place.
  • Lesson for years 4 & 5 to commence earnestly in January.

Teachers

  • Monitoring and Evaluation of   teaching and learning carried out for all the teachers will continue termly in order to raise the standard of achievement of the pupils.
  • Performance management – performance related pay now in place.
  • All teachers must meet their target before any increment in salary.

Staff Meetings reorganisation

  • General (All teaching staff meeting once a week
  • Have agenda and rota for taking minutes
  • SMT Meeting (once a week)

Policy Development

All coordinators to update themselves regularly by attending courses, reading relevant books, journals, magazines and making good use of internet.
All teachers to have long and medium term planning and their weekly planning to be submitted to the head teacher on Mondays.
